Flatland (also released as Flatland: The Film and Flatland the film), is a 2007 computer animated film based on the 1884 novella, Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions by Edwin A. Abbott.

The film was directed and animated by Ladd Ehlinger Jr. in Lightwave 3D.

The screenplay was written by author Tom Whalen.

The music was composed by Mark Slater.

In den Abfall-Containern der Supermärkte findet man überwältigende Mengen einwandfreier Nahrungsmittel, original verpackt, mit gültigem Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum.
Auf der Suche nach den Ursachen und Verantwortlichen deckt er ein weltweites System auf, an dem sich alle beteiligen.

Die Folgen reichen weit, denn die Auswirkungen auf das Weltklima sind verheerend.
Die Landwirtschaft verschlingt riesige Mengen an Energie, Wasser, Dünger und Pestiziden, Regenwald wird für Weideflächen gerodet.

Mehr als ein Drittel der Treibhausgase entsteht durch die Landwirtschaft.

Nicht unbedeutend sind auch die Berge verrottender organischer Stoffe, denn das entstehende Methangas wirkt sich auf die Erderwärmung 25 Mal so stark aus wie Kohlendioxid.

TASTE THE WASTE zeigt dass ein weltweites Umdenken stattfindet und dass es Menschen gibt, die mit Ideenreichtum und Engagement diesem Irrsinn entgegen treten.

Welche große Demut und Bescheidenheit Hanuman verkörpert!

Viele erwarten einen materiellen Ausgleich für ihre Dienste.
Andere möchten zwar kein Geld, können aber Rang und Namen nicht widerstehen.
Manche brauchen weder das eine noch das andere, möchten aber Bestätigung oder Dank.
Wieder andere verlangen zwar nichts, rühmen sich aber ihrer Taten.

Hanuman stand über all dem.
Deshalb gilt er als wahrer Karma Yogi und unübertroffener Meister des Bhakti Yoga.
Sein Leben ist voll anschaulicher Beispiele dafür.
Man sollte nach bestem Vermögen versuchen, dem edlen Beispiel Hanumans zu folgen.

Der Geburtstag Hanumans fällt auf Chaitra Shukla Purnima, den Vollmondtag im März.

Verehre Hanuman an diesem heiligen Tag.
Faste.
Lies die Hanuman Chalisa (Lobgesang auf Hanuman).
Wiederhole den ganzen Tag den Namen Ramas.

Composed of 13 chapters, each of which is devoted to one aspect of warfare, it is said to be the definitive work on military strategies and tactics of its time, and is still read for its military insights.

The Art of War is one of the oldest and most successful books on military strategy in the world. It has been the most famous and influential of China's Seven Military Classics: "for the last two thousand years it remained the most important military treatise in Asia, where even the common people knew it by name." It has had an influence on Eastern military thinking, business tactics, and beyond.

Pain has been part of the human experience longer than magnetic bracelets, ergonomic chairs, whiplash and repetitive strain injury. Yet it is just in the last few decades that we have realised how terrifically complex pain really is and how wrong many of our assumptions about pain really are.

Pain is an important issue. Its impact on our society is staggering - more Australians suffer from chronic pain than diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer combined. Every day, chronic pain and its management costs Australia almost a million dollars. How can this be?

In this fascinating Knowledge Works lecture, Professor Lorimer Moseley will examine two important questions - "Why does it hurt?" and "Why does it still hurt?" He will share findings from his international research investigating the role of the brain and mind in chronic pain disorders.
